Ruka Nordic

• FIS World Cup Ruka Nordic 2016 starts the season with all Nordic disciplines: ski jumping, cross country and Nordic combined

• Eight World Cup contests will be held during the long weekend

• Around 400 athletes from 30 nations will arrive to compete in Ruka Nordic

• Media pass is granted to 2300 persons and roughly 400 media representatives are expected to arrive

• More than 600 volunteers will help to put together the event

• During the long event weekend more than 20 000 spectators visit Ruka Nordic

• Four restaurants will take care of the spectators during the event

• The stadium is located right next to Ruka village and all the accommodation, restaurant and shopping services are within walking distance

• For the smallest members of the family there is a number of activities available. Of course Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus with their reindeer visit the competition area and this year Ruka Nordic has also children’s very own FIS Snow Kids
