      • Accreditation and access zones

        A C C R E D I T A T I O N

        Accreditation provides an accreditation card for all participants in order to make it easier for them to move around the sports center area, and to avoid disturbing them unnecessarily during the competition.

        To be accredited the organizers must have in advance the required information about the person wishing to be accredited. The accreditation office checks the required information.

        All teams will be accredited with the organizers’ accreditation.

        For accreditation, the participant must hold the FIS passport included the certificates of full COVID 19 vaccination / previous infection,  negative PCR COVID-19 test result (not older then 72 h) and the heath questionary filled in.

        At accreditation, you will receive a colour coded accreditation card, which must be held visible during the whole event.

        Accreditation is handled by Loop 8 / Gate Accreditation System.

        There will be two different places for accreditation. Accreditation office 1 is for the group red, which includes all the athletes and their teams, and the people who work in close contact with them.

        Doctor & medical staff are on site / at the venue 1 hours before XC/SJ/NC- competition starting times / SJ qualifcation starting times and 45 minutes before offcial SJ training session.

        DEPARTURE:

        Doctor & medical staff departure 30 minutes after XC/SJ/NC training/qualifcation/competition.

        There will be two (2) ambulances on site according to arrival / departure times for medical staff. One (1) extra ambulance will be at Kuusamo City on standby if one of the onsite ambulances has to leave the venue with patient. Kuusamo City Hospital ambulances  are also on standby

        The Ruka Nordic Media Center is located at Rukan Kokouskeskus (Ruka Meeting Center) on the second floor, about 200 m from the stadium.

      • Radio equipment and frequencies

        The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom) regulates the use of radio frequencies in Finland.

        Based on submitted applications Traficom issues radio licences for users of radio transmitters to ensure trouble-free utilisation of the radio spectrum. Applications can be submitted by filling in the form found with the link below no later than 31 October 2021.

        Some radio transmitters can be used on licence-exempt basis depending on their operating frequency and application. Please refer to Traficom’s regulations.

        SKI TESTING, TRAINING AND WARM UP TRACKS

        Ski testing is allowed on competition track from the tunnel (under the road) to the south part of the track (Impilinna). On Saturday, warming and cooling can be practiced on the competition track from the tunnel to the pump station on the left-hand side of the track. It will be marked by boards and branches. Testing on the competition courses is strictly forbidden using any technical equipment. Course opening times will be presented in the TCM.

         

        START / FINISH AREA

        The route to the start is as follows: from the service under the bridge to the ski jumping area. From there, follow the marked course behind the TV stands to the ski stadium. The access to the center of the stadium is allowed for the competitors and one service member per team, as long as the bib is worn.

         

        SERVICE AREA

        The Ski Service Area is located nearby the stadium. The Service Area will be fenced. The fenced area is allowed to enter only by wearing accreditation or bibs. Please refer to the “Maps” section for detailed information.

        Each team has the right to bring equipment to the service are daily 7 am to 9 am. Parking at Rukatonttu parking area.

        Service Area will be locked during nighttime from 22:00 to 06:00. In case there will be a need to visit the service area during the locked hours, please contact Mr Antti Häkämies, tel. +358 41 457 9467.

        There will be service cabins / service building for the Teams’ and ski suppliers in the service area. Additionally, a tent for athletes to change clothes and rest, is situated there

        Returning the keys  on the day of departure – please contact Ski Info, tel +358 41 457 9467 after cleaning for the check up. After check up, please bring the key back to the Ski Info, situated in the Service Area.

        The bibs can be collected from the Ski Info in the morning before, the race. Times will be given at the TCM.

         

        TRASNPONDERS

        The place of fastening transponders is located in the immediate vicinity of the start area. The competitor is responsible for picking up and fastening the right transponder.

         

        TEMPERATURE

        Temperature measurements are collected at the stadium and along the course from the highest and lowest points of it.

        The measurements are collected in half hour intervals. The first measurement is collected two hours before the first competitor starts and the last one is collected one hour after the start of the first competitor.

        Service point is situated in the finish area. Juice will be served for refreshment.
